I used to use Rodinal, Xtol and DD-X. I tried PMK (tested the whole batch), FX-39 recently as well.
PMK is too grainy. FX-39 looks like XTOL, but with less speed. I use XTOL for just about everything now: D100, D400 and Neopan 1600. I'll use the Rodinal here and there on D100 just for variety's sake. The DD-X comes out when I shoot D3200 at 1250 in the 645N or if I have to shoot TMZ when I can't find any Neopan 1600 locally. tv > -----Original Message----- > From: David Brooks [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Friday, November 22, 2002 10:50 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: Re: Slightly OT: Fuji 1600 Unscientific review > > > Unfortunately the money we payed for the class buys the chemicals > for all and the instructor likes and uses Tmax 1:4. > Looks like i'l need to supply my own person with more than 1 > developer in the house for use on different films. > Is this what most of you do or do you stick with a favorite.? > > Dave > ---- Begin Original Message ---- > > From: "Paul Jones" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Neopan 1600 tends to turn to crap when shot at 3200, the shadow > detail is > about nil.
