This was how I ran my wedding business for 20 years. I decided
to do it this way when I realized that four out of ten marriages
were ending in divorce anyway. Fourty percent of the negs I was
keeping were worse than useless.
I quoted my hourly rate based on a minimum hourly rate (which
was far from minimal) plus I would sometimes add a PITA factor
which was based on my initial assessment of the job.
It worked really well, and I actually made more money than when
I was storing negatives and pricing by the entire job.
