Hey, an email I can answer!

Chris,

If you actually knew me, you'd know I'm not having a temper tantrum. I did
write things for the express purpose of sillyness and laughter and of course
all the responses I was hoping for. I'm blessed with a thick skin, but
doomed with little patience.

You ask an honest question, I will give you the honest answer. Now, this
has already be stated, but I'm sure you've forgotten when that thread was
going. It seemed that I, along with quite a few others (to the dismay of
some here), simply stumbled? in. When I first started taking pictures, I
was using a borrowed Pentax A3000. It of course had program, B, and
Aperature Value but lacked Time Value. At the time it didn't really matter
to me. I used a manual focus 35-70mm Pentax lens as well as a Haminex<sp?>
of similar range. Why my friend (she was clueness when it came to cameras,
more than I if you can believe that!) has two lenses so similar, I do not
know. I started reading about photography and found myself enjoying it, so
I decided to buy my own, the MZ-5n, with a variety of cheap lenses. After
that I really got going with photography. So when I had the extra cash I
almost literally replaced all my camera equipment, including accessories,
tripod....the works basically. With the MZ-S in mind because I was told,
one it was a nice camera, and two, it was far less expensive and better than
a similar setup with Canon or Nikon. Of course I was familiar with Pentax
which made it even more appealing. When I was done, it came to about
$10,000Cdn

Now what you all have been waiting for, my DSLR comments :) I joined the
PDML after getting the MZ-S stuff, and started to read things that I didn't
like, basically all the speculation months before Photokina. I tend to
change my mind and ramble quite often, so my comments and such were all over
the place. Apparently this is not common in the PDML. :) So basically here
we are.

Hope that cleared up things,

Brad Dobo
