I think this is the best approach to using different formats -including
digital - that I have ever read. Bruce Dayton should win an award for
these two humble paragraphs. Well done!

Unashamedly quoted in full:

>The current easy approach is to treat digital just like a different
>format. Use your film camera for what you will and start planning
>your digital system. Currently, the digitals really suck at wide
>angle, so that would be a place that you would still use your film
>camera.
>
>When I went to Medium Format, I sold off about half of my 35mm lenses
>because I would be using Medium Format for much of my work. That has
>proved to be the case and now, I am finding that I use the 35mm for
>very specific things only. If you started a digital system you could
>do the same thing. It doesn't have to directly replace your 35mm
>system, just supplement for a different direction and use. Over time,
>you will begin to naturally use one system or the other for a given
>situation. That will help guide you for your future purchases.

Thanks Bruce,

Cotty
