Continuing our Pre-Photokina patent watch, Pentax has filed two
applications in technology related to a digital SLR.

20020130964 Digital camera and ejection mechanism for memory card in
mobile instrument
They are related to circuit board, battery and memory card designs. In
the images submitted, it clearly depicted a digital SLR with
interchangeable lens.
Of course it may never materialize; or it could indicate the future shape
of a Pentax DSLR. Whether we see one or not in Photokina, it does tell us
that Pentax is still active in development in the digital SLR field.
