>>>>Hi Herb,

I haven't a solution however I have a question for you. What shutter speeds
are
you achieving in most cases whilst using the filter? IS the cast the same
colour for different types of film? Why I ask is I wonder if you are
experiencing the effects of colour shift due to reciprocity failure of the
film?

Cheers,

i'm shooting Provia 100F at exposures in the 10-20 second range. according
to Fuji's film data guide (publicaton AF3-102E), which applies to film
marketed in the US and Canada, there should be no reciprocity failure to
128 seconds, and for longer exposures, they recommend a slight green
filter. i have shot one roll of Kodachrome 25 on it with exposures in the
same range too and the color shift is less noticeable. i suppose i should
do a test roll with a complete range of shutter speeds with a constant
target and see what happens. i have a GretagMacbeth ColorChecker i can use.
i had read up on the reciprocity characteristics of the film before i
bought the filter. just looking through the filter isn't very helpful. 10
stops is a LOT of light loss.
