On occasion I've taken a digital color shot that I wasn't entirely pleased with and converted to grayscale where it becomes a much better photo. It' also a great way to develop you intuitions fro zone systems since your can actually perform the thought experiment of switching between colors and the pure tones of B&W. BTW, can you submit a "born again" B&W created in this fashion (from a scanned color film version) as long as you report it? Or is this "too much" manipulation?
Steve >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 06/25/02 12:19AM >>> I am wondering, if one is scanning anyway, iso 3200 fast films apart, what are the reasons to shoot b&w, for general purpose picture taking?
