I find wides a lot harder to use than normal/tele lenses. With a longer lens you can "pick out" really interesting parts of the whole scene. A wide angle lens insists on "getting it all in" so the entire scene has to "work". OTOH when you do find that perfect scene it helps to have a nice wide lens to capture it with :) I wonder what a 30mm rectilinear for Pentax 6x7 would cost (and weigh).
