I’m very pleased with the performance of my first Canon printer, a Prograf pro
1100. Ive had about c 6 Epson photo printers. The last Epson got me through
about 15 years. But the Canon seemed to be the best with a 17 inch wide
carriage. It turns out gorgeous 17 x 22 prints. So far Ive used only Canon pro
luster paper. My old workflow, with photoshop controlling color and loading a
paper profile works well.

Pleased with the printer I decided to recalibrate my LG monitor, although the
print was a close match, im now tunning an M2 mini on sequoia so i hooked up my
Spyder5 and went to it. The results were not good. I always got a great
calibration with this tool on my okd imac and an earlier OS. so I bought a
newer calibration tool, the Datacolor Spyder ProX. Better but still not as goog
as previous calibrations, Im hoping a siftware upgrade from Dataclor or Apple
or both. Perhaos Gidders has some ideas. BTW, the printer still reads my old
renderings correctly but they dont look right on the monitor, Thus, new work
will be a problem.
