Same here. K7, K5, K3 mostly on the North Sea cost, in storm, rain, sleet and snow, frost, drifting sand, what have you... Never a prob.

Three days after I got my K7, one of our cats decided to throw up on my shiny new camera plus lens in the middle of the night. By morning, all of it had seeped into every nook and cranny and most of it had dried. What to do? Those were the days when Pentax still had their own customer service in Hamburg. Gave them a quick call. Could I clean it under running water? "You don't have much choice, do you? But keep the lens on."

Cat and camera survived without any lasting damage.
