Yesterday we took a trip to Doylestown, a well-preserved town incorporated in 1838, about an hour west of Philly.
Among its assets is the Mercer Museum, established by Henry Mercer in 1916, and filled with his (very idiosyncratic) collection of tools, baskets, decorative tiles, stoves, carriages, dolls, pottery, and a fire engine, The exhibits are very haphazard and not very well labelled or annotated, but it is a very interesting place nonetheless. So, herewith a haphazard collection of photos: https://rickwomer.smugmug.com/2023/September-2023/Mercer-Museum/ (K-5, DA 17-70) Comments always appreciated!
