Thanks! passed quite near to it in 1989 driving west to east along
route 2. on our way home from Alaska. Have a few shots from the area one
in Florence WI, another of the Iron Mountain MI rail station.. and a
Midway something -- gas station or cafe.

Maps. The latest aerial imagery is from 2023 and I can't tell if the
house is still there, but if you go to street view, which is from
2009, you can see the house. It's not too far from the south shore of
Lake Superior.

aside to Brian, I took that shot, kinda, back in the day.. went
through Virginia City
more than once over the years between 1973 and 2002 . Seems to me
someone
used a different photo taken there for a PUG in the last year or so..
it is one of the
less kitschy of ghost towns that are tourist traps out west.
