I couldn't quite afford a Spotmatic but I did buy my Asahi-branded S1A[0] and 
later a Tokina midrange zoom, a bellows, and slice copier. They're all gone now 
except for the zoom; now it's the K-1000 and the K-10D.

[0] 1968 while stationed in Italy, via one of our security types who almost 
literally commuted to and from Japan taking orders and returning hardware
