We’ve had a few pine siskins in the yard over the past few days. A lot of their normal habitat went up in flames this year so they’ve been seen a lot of places they don’t normally show up. We also had a windstorm earlier in the week, which blew a lot of redwood seeds down. They seem a bit less skittish than a lot of the other small birds around here, so I was able to spend a bit more time a bit closer than I usually get with LBBs.
