I though my comet hunting was over on Friday night, but last night the skies were unusually clear, so despite the moon being up late I drove up one of the local logging roads I had recently discovered and got some decent shots of the comet, and astrolandscape in general. I'm afraid that I don't have the requisite skill and tools to get these photos exactly right, particulary when working on my laptop, but they do show promise. In addition to comet Neowise and some clear views of the milky way, there was enough meteor activity I even had a meteor photobomb a photo of M31.

I was sure missing my K-1 last night. The K-3 is a very competent camera, and I've actually been considering that the new APS flagship in many ways could out perform the K-1 (with technology that has a couple of Moore's law cycles advantage), but sometimes you just need the wider field of view from a bigger sensor. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
