i've just bought a new-old tokina 400/5.6 at-x sd af in exc+++ condition from ebay japan. i have of course read reviews on the net (Mark Cassino's note on the lens with the k3 was particularly helpful and encouraging). it has a reputation for sharpness and also CA in high contrast situations, which most reviewers say can be handled in post. i hope i got a sharp copy.
and while i was waiting for it i was going through my archives and here is a birding shot, not very good, from feb 2007, taken with the *ist DS, which i had bought towards the end of 2006, and the kit lens: http://something-feathered.in/birding-with-the-kit-lens/ thanks for looking, subash -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
