Sorry, I haven't tried with PEF files, because I switched to DNG as soon
as I had camera capable of those (K-7), - for the higher universality.
However, the problem with using Amazon Prime (or for that reason any other
cloud backup/storage) is the sheer volume of the files: It'd be extremely
slow to backup large chunks (E.g. even a half of a 32GB card would take
rather long time with the slow upload speeds of the "Broadband" in the
USA. Also, it would quickly use the monthly bandwidth allowance for our
home internet.
An extra external HDD is cheaper than the extra step in the internet plan.
Just my 2 cents.
