I'm with Bruce on this one. They're pretty different cameras and you should try them both out. Here's why I traded in 2 PZ-1p's for 2 MZ-S's:
- the Grip. The BG-10 battery grip makes it a very comfortable camera (as does the Grip Strap for the pz-1p) and also provides a vertical shutter release and accepts AA batteries. These are *very* cool features. - the MZ-S has much better (and selectable) autofocus. - the MZ-S has a better finder for me. It's better for manual focusing. - I prefer the control layout The pz-1p has a 1/2 stop edge in shutter speed, flash sync and does 4 fps versus 2.5 fps. The only one of these I find really objectionable is the fps, but it's not a big deal. Again, you should play with both. I still have a beater pz-1p up for grabs.... -- Thomas Van Veen Photography www.bigdayphoto.com 301-758-3085 > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Bruce Dayton > Sent: Tuesday, May 28, 2002 2:47 PM > To: Matthew Chan > Subject: Re: MZ-S or Z-1p > > > Matthew, > > I have owned both.
