Yup. It was Thunderbird. T-bird has the usual "Reply" and "Reply All"
but if it recognizes the message as coming from a mailing list the
"Reply to List" option appears.

Thunderbird did something similar a little while back and caused some
grief for a number of listers, including yours truly. There was a
lengthy discussion about it.
