Yesterday was the last day of the "Wings of Freedom" air show at Moffett Field in Mountain View, CA. I managed to get there around two in the afternoon and decided that the big panorama type of approach I used for the Santa Clara Valley vista was a perfect way to try to capture the scale of Hanger 1, the historic dirigible hanger at Moffett Field. I held the camera vertically and made seven exposures ... The resulting panorama merge file is about 33,000x7000 pixels in size. The detail in this image is amazing when you go to the 100% image...
