Hi, wrt Microphen: I really love this developer, either for pushing or normal processing. I make the 2.5l boxes into solution which I keep in big tank, and simply pour it into smaller measurement cylinder and into the film tank. The stock solution keeps reasonably well even for months. 2.5l at stock dillution is about 12 films, up to 36 films at 1+2 dillution, all one-shot. It's much more consistent than trying reuse.
I don't reuse it, for pushing I use it at STOCK dillution and pour it out after each film batch, for normal processing or +1 push I use it 1+1 or 1+2 dillution and pour it out after each film batch. It works excellently that way. Especially if you do normal processing only and dillute it to 1+2, it's about the most economical developer (at least here). The increased dillution will give you better tones and better sharpness but little larger grain, not by much though. Bear in mind though, that there is a minimum amount of stock developer that must be in the dillution for each film. I think for microphen this is 100ml or better 125ml (it's noted in the PDF datasheet at Ilford's web), so if you do 1+2 dillution, you MUST have at least 300ml of 1+2 per each film, thus having tank large enough (or process less films in it than maximum).
