Like most Pentax lenses, the 150-450 allows manual override of autofocus, with just a simple turn of the focus ring. That sometimes proves very valuable when shooting birds in trees of bushes, as they are frequently tucked in behind branches that make autofocus very difficult. I shot this bird yesterday. I think it’s a juvenile female cowbird. not exactly beautiful, but interesting.
