Thanks, Dan & Larry.

Yes, that's the Warthogs way. They have caused untold damage on the local golf course over the years.

The light conditions were terrible & I struggled with post processing but I think the final results are quite close to real life.

The drinking Impalas are about 8m below the top of the earth wall where the others are walking. The dam is only about 5% full.

Having hardly lifted a camera this year, I felt withdrawal symptoms
coming on & decided on a quick visit to Sable Dam for therapy. Hot &
Dry. All I saw in a hour was a small herd of Impala, 1 Buffalo & a
family of Warthogs. The tourists who paid to go on game drives this
afternoon must have been very disappointed. Just as well you went to
Maui, Dan! The wooden boundary fence at the bird hide is down,
officially blamed on Elephants but it looked more like the work of
termites to me.

The Warthogs are digging up roots.

Very cool, it's interesting that they are kneeling on their front legs
to reach the ground with their mouth.

Warthogs first, scroll R for the others.

For what it's worth, all three of these photos look very contrasty to
me, probably from the harsh light, but it could just be a monitor
calibration issue. I think that processing for different gammas can have
that effect.
