That is an absolutely gorgeous portrait of West Maui, Rick. I know, as I
have tried that shot numerous times. You had a nice clear day, and took
full advantage of it. The splash of surf in the foreground raises it from
a nice travel shot to a superior image.

Most days are windy on Maui. It's where the wind is coming from that makes
the weather a bit variable. Normal trades from the NE make pleasant days
and clear air; Winds from the S or SW bring VOG from the Big Island.
Winds from the W or NW (Kona winds) bring humidity, rain and sometimes
storms.

I absolutely love what you have done with your images from Maui, and I hope
you have more to come.
