The Bell of Hope stands in the graveyard of St Paul's Chapel, the oldest
surviving public building in Manhattan, which was miraculously unharmed
when the Twin Towers collapsed next to it. The Bell of Hope, a gift from
London’s St. Mary-le-Bow, is rung every year on September 11th. The bronze
bell was cast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London, which also cast
the Liberty Bell and Big Ben.
