Some of David Seeram's comments:

Are smartphones in fact "real" cameras?

Smartphone photographs are being used in high-end commercial work.
Photographers are selling their work - shot on smartphones.
Smartphones are being used in some of the world's largest advertising campaigns.
Smartphones photographers are replacing "traditional" photographers.
Professionals are shooting client work with smartphones and getting paid.
Post processing 'phone apps are fast & easy to use.

There is no debate - the proof is right there - smartphone photography is legit.

However, with all of the advances in technology one thing is certain - no camera in the world will ever replace our ABILITY to produce photographs that speak to others.
