Thanks for your comments, John, Ken, Larry, Dan & Jack. The subdued light
helped a lot. Buffalos are neutral to cars but very aggressive to humans on
foot. The breeding bulls which move in and out of the matriarchal herds are
the most dangerous. Presumably the North American Bison are much the same?
