As I understand it, Pentax USA decides what will be imported to the US, and this is the case in other countries as well (the local distributor decides what to distribute). Apparently they didn't think they'd sell any black limiteds or silver MZ-S's when they were introduced. I wouldn't be surprised to see black limiteds and/or he US in the not too distant future.
