Brian, (and anybody else who might be interested).

First thanks for the upload. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I fired off an email to DXO support describing the failure, which is that the software reports it isn't able to connect to their activation server, (somehow that doesn't seem to be Key related), but anyway.

I didn't really expect a response since I'm using free software that's a year old. However this morning I got a message from DXO informing me that the Key only works on one one activation. That wasn't explicitly described in their offer, (and I've actually used the Key to activate software at least twice, but that's another story), and the package should allow me a thirty day free trial, which is also disabled by the error condition.

Oh well, the response was more than I expected.

Before I received their response I had tried the suggestions for connection problems on their site, with no joy. So I updated my report to them as I believe that there's more going on, and they should be aware of it. I figured I owed them that much for a years use of their software.

Sadly I'm going to miss the Filmpack functionality in Photoshop, it's not the same having it in Optics Pro since I usually do my finishing touches with PS.

If anyone else managed to get the software to actually connect to the activation server I'd love to know, but for now I see the issue as being dead.

I hope it works - didn't have time to check if there was any uploading
corruption. Let me know how it goes.

Cheers

Brian

Well the question is, did anyone download, and keep the installation
package for this software when DXO made it available for free a couple
of years ago?

I have the software key, but no installation so when I attempt to use
the photoshop plugin it leads to decidedly weird behavior on my new
installation.

If you mean DxO Filmpack 3 'Essential Addition', then yes.

I can Dropbox it if you want.
