I'm quite fond of E100SW and before I came over to the UK I was starting to get into Provia 100F a little. Velvia is not my cup of tea as the colours are very strong and it is pretty high in contrast. I would recommend taking care with the polariser. I don't use them often but they can be useful at times. They make a good ND filter if you're desperate :) I rarely shoot print film in medium format, but Reala is definitely a wonderful film for MF and I'm not surprised about your good impression of it. I have a lovely 30x40" framed print of the Endeavour replica hanging on the lounge wall at home (living room for Americans). It was taken off a 6x7 Reala neg. After trying out a couple of rolls of Agfa Portrait 160 in 35mm last year I'm keen to try it in 6x7. Believe it or not I quite liked it as a landscaping film. But I've been known to do weird things, like deliberately underexposing Superia 800 by two stops just for the mega-grain effect. Once you hit about -2.5 stops the machine won't automatically print it :) Cheers, - Dave. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
