Even though they have a .mov suffix I will bet you a bottle of Grolsch that the files are wrapped MP4's. If they are, they will not be easily editable by editing software. You can do worse than downloading and using a utility like MPEG Streamclip - it's a very easy to use conversion application that will turn the MP4 files into editable quicktime movies. <http://www.squared5.com> Finally, note that if you do find a sweet spot with the projector frame rate, no matter how slow, editing software can be used to 'speed up' the resulting captured video.
