Stan, your Denali shot is truly iconic, especially for those that like the
out doors and Alaska.
I've shot that view numerous times but only have one when it was clear like
yours.
(Thanks Ken for your tip about Camp Denali!)
Shhh Stan, lets keep that a secret between you and me... <VBG>

Thanks Brian etc all for your kind comments on Denali. I was there four
days, clear skies the whole time, and I had several opportunities for
shots from this general area. I had another Denali shot in the glow of
Northern Lights but this one far better matches the theme.
(Thanks Ken for your tip about Camp Denali!)
I like " places" and know I will be a fan of all the shots this month.
Once I get to a place with decent internet speed. I did look at Bill's
shot, had to what with all the comments! Great shot. Ive been in that spot
(someplace else) , know that scene well.

Thanks again for all the time and effort you put forth on our behalf,
Brian, and the wonderful gallery you produce for all of us every month.
I think this is a special gallery, filled with simply wonderful images.
Congratulations to all who submitted.
My personal favorite is Ann's Empire State view. The composition and
the
colors are both just stunning.
Stan's Denali is about as good an image of The Big One as I have even
see.
Make me hunger for a return to Alaska.
As does Ken Waller's superb image of Brooks Falls, another of my very
favorite spots. It lack only a leaping salmon!
No photo fits the theme better than Jack's fine b&w of Half Dome; well
captured indeed.
I also love Igor's GUM. That is an excellent depiction of a special
place.
