No, not even Paul Stenquist can hand hold the FA*300/2.8 at a quarter of a second! I rested the lens on the wall at the side of the bridge from which I was shooting. I think I prefer the first one by a small margin. I love the look of the splash of water at the bottom of the image. What I like about the second shot is the smears of white from the oars themselves they look like something Turner would have put in his paintings. (And for those of you who haven't seen the film "Turner", you should do so as soon as possible!) I'm printing #1 as I write this.
