If I were you I would tell the seller you are returning the camera. Sounds
like he was dead wrong about the condition and that is his problem, it
shouldn't be yours.
This has happened to me once buying a camera through an Ebay auction. I
bought a "needs repair" ME Super with a 50mm f1.4 M lens described as "in
great condition"(I wanted the lens). I received a DOA ME Super as expected
only it came with a fungus infested lens. I e-mailed the seller immediately
and told him how disappointed I was. I had sent him $90.00 for junk. He
refunded my money and apologized profusely. I ate shipping(about $12.00) and
we left positive feedback for one another.

Be nice yet direct. If this doesn't work out you can try to resolve the
dispute through Ebay. Get your money back... there are deals to be had on
SuperPrograms quite often.

BTW I got a deal last summer from KEH...SuperProgram with 50mm f2.0 lens in
excellent condition for $149.00.
