I already Googled it to find out, there's amazingly little data on any
printer. The one question is no exception.

On behalf of your current printer, I offer a couple of thoughts:
How much will you need to pay to buy a full set of inks?
How soon will you need those replacements? Does it ship with mini versions of
the regular inks?
Does the new one have a good reputation as far as ink usage, not getting
clogged, etc?

So this is kinda beside the point but related. I just got a missive from
Adorama about the Canon Pixma Pro-100 13x19 inch printer.
I've been using a Pixma iX6520 that I thought I got a fantastic deal on a couple of
years ago, it's only 4 color, (CMYK), but except for a occasionally disappointing
B&W renditions, it produces nice detailed prints, that pretty accurately
reflect what I see on my monitor.
The Pixma Pro-100 has a litany of features that I will never use...
However it does have one that I really want, it's an 8 color printer that has three
dedicated B&W cartridges.
The kicker, it's selling for $49.00 with free shipping, and the package
includes 50 sheets of 13x19 Canon semi gloss paper. I checked the specs it's
not even cheep paper!
The entire bundle is less that half the price of a full set of inks for my
present printer!
I have to keep repeating, I'm happy with my current printer.
I'm happy with my current printer.
I'm happy with my current printer.
I'm happy with my current printer.
