It doesn't actually work _within_ Lr -- only Lr code does that -- you
send a stack of images to it via Export-to. That sends converted TIFFs
so you get full rez and quality; as good as the RAW data. This is also
how many other "plugins" work; either Export-to or Edit-in, and either
way it uses TIFFs.
