Similar. I had the 17/4 when I had the *ist DS and the look is quite similar, which is enough for me. If I want a full circular fishy, Olympus has one of those coming up but I've never seen the need for it for my photography. The real plus of this lens is its tiny size and extreme light weight … it is in fact little more than a thick body cap.
