Most obvious way to locate Volcanic Forest (my name, you won't see a sign) is 
to find Beale Air Force Base and look just east or behind it.
Not that I expect either of you to actually look for it, but it's a land mark I 
forgot to mention.

Located in Yuba Co, CA on Hammonton/Smartsville Road. Site is south off HWY 20 
'prox 15 miles east of Marysville, CA.
Location is then 8 to 10 miles on your right. A couple of like areas are 
located at that point. The one I
shot was the first approached or the most northerly by a fraction of a mile.
Sorry, I don't have the coordinates. Haven't loaded Google Earth on this fairly 
new computer or I'd tell you.

A tortured landscape..  aren't those trees burned the result of a fairly 
recent forest fire in that area?
