Another film you should get out and see. Mr. Turner is pretty amazing.
Stupendous acting performances, but for photographers the highlight is
the cinematography. They'd originally planned to shoot on film rather
than digital but ended up not having the budget (which is a topic unto
itself). What they ended up doing is shooting on digital but with very
old 'out of date' lenses. The result is magnificent.

In the movie itself it's astonishing to see some of Turner's most
famous paintings depicted in 'real life', so to speak. I even
recognized a couple from the Turner exhibit I wen to at the National
Maritime Museum in Greenwich last year.
