Well, perhaps my SMILEY wasn't was a bit weak, Ann. Have been to Canon Beach a 
couple times,
but have no photo trophies to display.
MY "point" was intended as as a dark side Canon camera joke.(?)

Truth be told, I only used this photo because I've been feeling so 
crappy for several weeks that I just went for one I already had a 
digital file of and had published in a calendar.

Thanks Ralf, Brian and Christine - glad you liked it.., though I much 
preferred Dan and Christine's Erwittian takes, myself. I'd like to see
Jan's in black and white... My interpretation is that the people are
the unexpected visitors.

My vote for making a beach appealing, even to those of us who dislike 
going to the beach, is Stan's..

But basically the problem with a beach is there is no shade and it hurts
to walk in the sand...
