will this work? ---------------------
From: Rick Walker ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Subject: Re: Nikon F3 & linear polarizer. Okay combo?? Newsgroups: rec.photo.equipment.35mm I've read several places that the F-1 and FTb have a problem with linear polarizers. A quick experiment will probably see how much of a problem there is. Point your FTb at a uniformly lit wall, turn the meter on, and then gradually turn the polarizer. If the meter has problems with the linear polarizer, you should see a pretty good dip in the meter reading at one point. If it stays pretty uniform, the meter is fine. I remember a metering procedure that was suggested with the F-1 and FTb if you used a linear polarizer: turn the meter on, point at your subject, turn the polarizer until you get the maximum meter reading, match needles at that setting, and then return the polarizer to where you want. A meter reading at that maximum setting is the correct one. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
