Thanks Attila. No tripod. Although it would enable slightly better portrait-type shots, a tripod is an encumbrance for this type of shooting IMO. I had hoped to get an in-flight pic as well, so I wanted to be able to reframe rapidly. Unfortunately, Mr. Egret didn’t want to leave the Rouge. Good eats, I suspect. High ISO capability and shake reduction have given us the luxury of leaving the tripod at home.
