Well, I've tried their web interface that allows uploading PDF. The PDF freshly prepared from LightRoom had this interesting problem (as per the web site):

"The PDF you selected is not PDF/X-3:2002 format or PDF 1.3 compatible".

In fact, it occurs to me that this may be the reason I wasn't been able to upload anything from within LightRoom as well...

I am starting to get extremely annoyed with this thing. For all I care, it is utterly broken.

Boris,

It's nice to hear from you.
While I don't have an answer, I thought, this thread might be useful to
you:
https://support.blurb.com/entries/24620879-Problems-with-book-upload-from-Lightroom-5-3
(you may have seen it already...)

It looks like it is a common problem, and most likely for large(r)
books.
Moreover, some people (see the comments here:
https://forums.adobe.com/message/5551459 )
seem to have problems uploading the book they had uploaded previously.

The only consistent solution is "after trying several possibilities
recommended by the Blurb support which did not work I was advised to
create a pdf and to upload it to the Blurb dropbox. "
Somebody else reported that keeping the computer "active" helps...
(so that it doesn't go in any type of power-saving mode). That sounds
like some voodoo, but I can see it being responsible in some cases. E.g.
when the power-saving mode includes stopping the HDD or something, possibly
creating some pause in the upload stream, if the software on Blurb
website is sensitive to that, it can consider the the connection broken.

Cheers,

Igor

Guys,

I am in deep shit... We've prepared some 100+ book from our trip to
Europe last year. I am trying to upload it from LR (first 5.5, now 5.6)
to Blurb. It renders the PDF, it then goes on to "upload the pages".
At around 80% it produces an error message without giving my re
ason as to why it failed to upload the book.

Any help or hints will be greatly appreciated.

Boris
