Quoting John <[email protected]>:
I got another question. How do you guys submit the photos that are
larger than 800x600?
You can't.
Well, actually you can. But only as high as 800 x 800.
I see them in the PUG where it says click on the image to see the
original size, but it won't let me submit mine unless I shrink them
down.
What we have here is a terminology problem. In PUG terminology,
"Original Size" doesn't actually mean "Original Size".
Let me explain how the PUG works.
Images are displayed in the gallery in a way that doesn't require
vertical scrolling of the image on most desktop monitors. So, any
image with a vertical dimension more than about 530 pixels gets
resized for display purposes.
As an example, an image of (say) 600 (h) x 800 (v) pixels will be
displayed in the gallery at about 398 x 530 pixels. In such cases the
"Click Image to view at original size" message will appear. When you
click that image it will display in a separate window at the full 600
x 800 pixels.
So, in PUG terminology "original size" means "original size as submitted".
Suggestions as to better terminology most welcome...
