Thanks Mark. I wouldn't have known anything about them without a small book I picked up several years ago - 'Wildflowere of Michigan' by Stan Tekiela. Should still be available - I saw one for sale in June in Seney NWR. He has a line of books regarding Michigan trees and birds among others.

You must have been a ways away with a 300mm!
Actually I wasn't that far away - the 300 f4.5 focuses down to a little less than 7 ft.

One of almost 700 images taken during a 5 day shoot. I'm amazed at how many were captured with my 300mm f4.5 FA lens - a close focuser. And am really glad the K3 has live view.
