When I were a lad we lived in Gibraltar and when the Spanish border was open 
we'd drive around Andalucia - very primitive still, under Franco - think W E 
Smith's Spanish Village essay (although that's not Andalucia).

One of my prominent memories from that time is this sherry advert everywhere 
silhouetted against the sky:
