According to "The Free Dictionary" it's either "a condition of utmost
perfection" or "the most extreme degree".

One thing to know about the Petrified Forest & Painted Desert is they
are only open sunrise to sunset, and the rangers are really uptight about
running you out of there at closing time (5:00pm MST at this time of year).

The Grand Canyon is not that crowded this time of year, and you might
get snow photos.

It looks like Candice and I will spend about a week kicking around the
southwest (maybe CA and AZ deserts) between 12/27ish and 1/3.
Suggestions for places to go take photos, preferably ones not already
photographed to a faretheewell?

I don't know if it's been "photographed to a faretheewell" (what is a
faretheewell by the way?...) but I'd certainly put the Petrified Forest
National Park on my list.
