I am rather surprised that K-5 ii has been discontinued after just about
1 year of production.
Yes, I know that it was a successor for K-5, but still...
It looks like Ricoh is trying to boost up the revenue by cutting off the
less expensive items in favor of the new ones (K-3, HD lenses, etc.)

The facts about current availability of K-5 ii:
As P.J. noted, B&H lists it as discontinued, Adorama does not have it
listed at all. (Both list K-5 IIs as available.)
Pentax-imaging.com (err, rocih-imaging.com) still lists both
K-5 II and IIs. However, if you click on "buy" K-5 II, it offers
just a kit.

Amazon still has a few sellers listing K-5 II from $697,
and K-5 IIs starting from $792.

Best regards,

Igor
