When I was out at Sears Point a couple weeks ago, I did pull my camera out a couple times to try my hand at photographing cars on the track. I’ve got a lot to learn, and a lot of practice if I’m ever going to be good (or even competent) at it, but I did get a few OK shot. I think these were all shot with the K-5 II and the bigma.
Some from a friend’s race group, unfortunately, he kept running into difficulties, and I didn’t get any shots of him: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157637962895695/ Here are some from one of the HPDE (just take your car out to the track and drive for the fun of it) groups: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157637963616526/ Silus has a lot of pickup: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/11006915894/in/set-72157637963616526 By contrast, here are the photos the pro got of me: http://headonphotos.net/gallery/nasa/NASA13-10/HPDE%204&TT/6/6%20red%20miata/index.html He’s pretty good at it, he shoots them at such an angle that makes it look like I’m on the line. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
