That bird shot (an owl me thinks) sitting on the barbed wire fence is just awesome. Your eyes are as sharp as that owl to spot such a good photo opportunity. Alas here in Bangalore urbanization has driven away most of the birds and butterflies. I think the Cell Phone Towers are the main culprit. But Larry that is a big lens you lugged around to San Jose Airport. I kind of feel awkward carrying that big fellow of a 500 mm lens around except on wildlife parks or on my terrace. Here in India most houses have rather huge flat terraces - very useful for fun photography, kite flying, sunning pickles or just chilling out. Next time I am in San Mateo I must visit you. Regards.
